This prop firm FAQ answers the questions Indian traders ask before and after buying a Greenwick account. Every answer follows the published rulebook. Where a number matters, we give the number. Where something depends on your plan, we say which plan.

If you are new to the model, start with what a prop firm is and how it works. If you already know the basics, use the groups below to jump to plans, loss limits, payouts or scaling. For the complete text of every rule, the Greenwick rulebook is the reference.

01How to read these rules

Greenwick rules fall into two groups. A small set of hard rules can close an account. Everything else is a payout rule, which can delay or adjust a payout but never closes the account. Once you see the rulebook this way, most questions answer themselves.

5Hard rules that close an account

The rules you buy are the rules you keep

Rule changes apply only to accounts bought after the change. Your account keeps the rules that were in force on the day you bought it.

02Simulated capital, in plain words

Greenwick is not a broker and not an investment adviser. Evaluations and funded accounts use simulated capital with live NSE, BSE and MCX prices. When you qualify, payouts are paid from Greenwick's own funds based on your simulated performance. Payouts may be taxable income, so speak to a chartered accountant about your own case.

Trading involves risk

The evaluation fee is money you can lose. No plan, rule or split makes profit certain. Size every trade so that a normal bad day stays well inside your daily loss limit.

03Where to go next

01 · 7 QUESTIONSGetting started

What is Greenwick Funded?

Greenwick Funded is a prop firm built for the Indian stock market. You pay a one-time fee for an evaluation, trade a simulated account using live NSE, BSE and MCX prices, and if you meet the target within the rules, you move to a funded account. There you earn a share of your simulated profits, paid from Greenwick's own funds.

Is Greenwick a broker or an investment adviser?

No. Greenwick is not a broker and not an investment adviser. We do not give tips, manage money or execute trades on an exchange for you. Evaluations and funded accounts use simulated capital with live Indian market prices, and rewards are paid from Greenwick's own funds based on your simulated performance. Trading involves risk.

Is the capital in my account real money?

No. Every Greenwick account, in evaluation and when funded, runs on simulated capital. Prices are live market prices, so the experience mirrors real trading, but orders do not reach the exchange. When you qualify for a payout, the reward is real money paid by Greenwick from its own funds, based on your simulated profit and the profit split.

How do I get started?

Choose a plan type (2-Step, 1-Step or Instant) and an account size on the pricing page, pay through UPI, and you receive access to your account and dashboard. Read the rulebook once before your first trade. Your dashboard shows your loss floors, targets and trading days in real time, so you always know where you stand.

Do I need trading experience to join?

There is no experience requirement, but the evaluation is designed for traders who already understand F&O, position sizing and stop losses. If you are new, practise until you can trade within a fixed daily loss limit consistently. The fee is small compared with your own capital, but it is still money you can lose.

Is there a time limit to pass?

No. None of the Greenwick plans has a time limit. You can take a week or several months to reach the target. The only time-based requirement is the minimum number of trading days: five per phase on the 2-Step and 1-Step plans. Without a deadline, there is no reason to force trades.

What counts as a trading day?

A trading day is any day on which you open or close at least one trade. Days when you only watch the market do not count. This matters for the minimum of five trading days per phase on 2-Step and 1-Step, and for the seven profitable days per payout cycle on Instant accounts.

02 · 9 QUESTIONSPlans and pricing

Which plans does Greenwick offer?

Three plan types. The 2-Step has two evaluation phases with an 8% then 5% target. The 1-Step has a single 10% target with tighter loss limits. Instant has no evaluation at all and is funded from day one, with stricter limits and a trailing floor. Compare them side by side on the pricing page.

What account sizes are available?

Four sizes, each with a tier name: Classic ₹5L, Select ₹10L, Reserve ₹25L and Black ₹50L. The 2-Step and 1-Step plans come in all four sizes. The Instant plan is available in ₹5L, ₹10L and ₹25L only; there is no ₹50L Instant account.

How much does the 2-Step challenge cost?

Founding prices for the first 500 traders are ₹6,499 for ₹5L, ₹10,999 for ₹10L, ₹23,999 for ₹25L and ₹44,999 for ₹50L. List prices after that are ₹8,999, ₹14,999, ₹32,999 and ₹59,999 respectively. All prices are in rupees with GST included.

How much does the 1-Step challenge cost?

Founding prices are ₹7,999 for ₹5L, ₹13,499 for ₹10L, ₹29,999 for ₹25L and ₹54,999 for ₹50L. List prices are ₹10,999, ₹18,999, ₹40,999 and ₹74,999. The 1-Step costs more than the 2-Step because you only need to pass one phase to be funded.

How much does an Instant account cost?

Founding prices are ₹14,999 for ₹5L, ₹24,999 for ₹10L and ₹54,999 for ₹25L. List prices are ₹19,999, ₹34,999 and ₹79,999. Instant costs the most because you skip the evaluation entirely and trade a funded account from the first day, under tighter risk limits.

What is the founding price?

The founding price is a lower launch price offered to the first 500 traders who buy a Greenwick account. Once those places are taken, plans move to the list price. The rules are identical at both prices; only the fee differs. Current availability is shown on the pricing page.

Is GST included in the price?

Yes. Every price shown on Greenwick is in Indian rupees with GST already included. What you see on the pricing page is what you pay through UPI, with no extra tax added at checkout.

Is the evaluation fee refunded?

On ₹10L and larger 2-Step and 1-Step accounts, the fee you paid is refunded and added to your first payout once you are funded and qualify. The pricing page shows which plans include it. Otherwise the fee is the cost of the evaluation, so treat it as money at risk.

How do I pay?

Payment is through UPI, so you can use any UPI app linked to your Indian bank account. Once the payment is confirmed, your account and dashboard are set up and you can begin trading during market hours.

03 · 7 QUESTIONSEvaluation rules

What are the 2-Step rules?

Phase 1 has an 8% profit target and Phase 2 has a 5% target. In both phases the daily loss limit is 4% and the max loss is 8%, measured from a static floor that never moves. You need at least five trading days in each phase, and there is no time limit.

What are the 1-Step rules?

One phase with a 10% profit target. The daily loss limit is 3% and the max loss is 6%, again on a static floor. You need at least five trading days and there is no time limit. It is faster to funding than the 2-Step, but the loss limits leave less room for error.

Does the Instant plan have an evaluation?

No. Instant accounts are funded from day one with no profit target to reach. In exchange, the limits are tighter: a 2% daily loss limit and a 5% trailing max loss. You also need at least seven profitable days in each payout cycle before requesting a payout.

What happens if I hit the target before five trading days?

The phase is complete only when both conditions are met: the profit target and the minimum of five trading days. If you reach the target on day three, you still need two more trading days. Keep risk small on those days so you protect the target you have already reached.

Does Phase 2 start automatically?

Yes. On the 2-Step plan, Phase 2 opens automatically once you have met the Phase 1 target and minimum trading days without breaching a loss limit. You do not need to request it. Your dashboard shows the new target and fresh loss floors for Phase 2.

Does the consistency rule apply during the evaluation?

No. The consistency rule applies only to funded accounts, never during the evaluation. In Phase 1, Phase 2 or a 1-Step evaluation, a single strong day can carry you to the target. Loss limits and minimum trading days still apply in full.

Can I retake an evaluation if I fail?

If an account closes because a loss floor was touched, that account ends. You can buy a new evaluation at the current price whenever you are ready. Before you do, review what went wrong in your trade log. Most failed attempts come from oversized positions or revenge trades, not from strategy.

04 · 8 QUESTIONSLoss limits

What is the daily loss limit?

It is the most your equity can fall within one trading day: 4% on 2-Step, 3% on 1-Step and 2% on Instant. On a ₹10L 2-Step account, that is ₹40,000. If your equity touches the daily floor at any moment, the account closes.

How is the daily loss floor calculated?

Each trading day the floor is set from the previous day's closing balance minus your daily limit. On a ₹10L 2-Step account the limit is ₹40,000. If yesterday closed at ₹10,30,000, today's daily floor is ₹9,90,000. Your dashboard shows today's floor before the market opens.

When does the daily loss floor reset?

The daily loss floor resets every trading day at 09:15 IST, using the previous day's closing balance. A bad day therefore does not carry into the next one, apart from its effect on your balance and your max loss floor.

What is the max loss floor?

It is the lowest your equity can ever go: 8% below the starting balance on 2-Step and 6% on 1-Step. On a ₹10L 2-Step account the floor is ₹9,20,000. It is static, so it stays at ₹9,20,000 even if you make ₹1L in profit.

What is the difference between a static and a trailing floor?

A static floor is fixed at the start and never moves, so profits widen your buffer. A trailing floor rises with your highest equity, so the buffer stays the same size as you make money. Greenwick uses static floors on 2-Step and 1-Step, and a trailing floor only on Instant.

How does the Instant trailing floor work?

On Instant accounts the max loss is 5%, and the floor moves up with your highest equity. Once the floor reaches your starting balance, it locks there permanently and stops trailing. On a ₹10L Instant account, the floor starts at ₹9,50,000 and rises as equity makes new highs, until it locks at ₹10,00,000.

Are loss limits measured on balance or equity?

On equity, which includes the profit or loss on your open positions. A trade that is down ₹30,000 on paper counts as ₹30,000 of loss right now, even if you have not closed it. This is why a large open options position can breach a floor before you exit.

What happens if my equity touches a floor?

The account closes immediately. Touching the daily loss floor or the max loss floor at any moment, even briefly during a fast move, is one of the five hard rules. There is no warning period, so size positions so that a normal adverse move cannot reach either floor.

05 · 8 QUESTIONSConsistency and payout rules

What is the consistency rule?

On funded accounts, your best single day must be no more than 40% of your total profit in a payout cycle, or 30% on Instant accounts. It exists to reward steady trading over one lucky session. It never applies during the evaluation.

Can you show a consistency example?

Suppose your cycle profit on a funded 2-Step account is ₹1,00,000 and your best day made ₹50,000. That day is 50% of the total, above the 40% cap. Nothing closes. You keep trading, and once total profit reaches ₹1,25,000 with that same best day, the ratio is 40% and the payout can go ahead.

Does breaking the consistency rule close my account?

No. Consistency is a payout-only rule. If your best day is above the cap, the payout simply waits until more trading days bring the ratio down. Your account stays open and your profit stays in the account.

What is the news window rule?

Around listed high-impact events, such as RBI policy, the Union Budget and index-heavy company results, there is a window of five minutes before and after. Profit from trades opened inside that window is not counted for payout. The trade is allowed and the account is not affected.

Where do I find the list of news events?

Your dashboard shows the day's listed events and their windows every morning. Check it before the open, especially on RBI policy days, Budget day and during results season, so you know exactly when the five-minute windows fall.

Is there an expiry day rule?

Yes. On expiry days, new option positions opened in the last 30 minutes of the session are not counted for payout. Closing existing positions in that period is always fine. It is a payout-only rule, so the account is never closed for it.

What are the five hard rules?

These close the account: equity below the daily loss floor; equity below the max loss floor; hedging across Greenwick accounts or one person running several accounts; copy-trading or bots without written approval; and platform abuse, such as exploiting price errors or delays in the simulation. Everything else only affects payouts.

What is the difference between hard rules and payout rules?

Hard rules close the account. Payout rules never close it; they only adjust or delay a specific payout. Consistency, the news window, the expiry-day window and MIS auto-close are payout-side rules. The full split is laid out on the rules page.

06 · 7 QUESTIONSInstruments and trading hours

Which instruments can I trade?

NSE index options and futures on NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY and MIDCPNIFTY; NSE stocks in cash intraday, stock futures and stock options; BSE index derivatives on SENSEX and BANKEX; and MCX commodities in GOLD, SILVER, CRUDEOIL and NATURALGAS. All accounts use live Indian market prices.

Can I trade MCX commodities?

Yes. GOLD, SILVER, CRUDEOIL and NATURALGAS on MCX are available, including the evening session. Remember that the daily loss floor resets at 09:15 IST, so a loss in the evening session counts against that day's floor.

What are the trading hours?

NSE and BSE instruments trade from 09:15 to 15:30 IST. MCX instruments follow MCX hours, including the evening session. Intraday MIS positions auto-close at 15:15 IST, so plan exits before then.

What happens to my MIS positions at 15:15?

Intraday MIS positions are closed automatically at 15:15 IST. This is not a breach. If you want to hold a position overnight, you need an NRML position, which is allowed only where your plan permits it. Your dashboard shows which product types your plan supports.

Can I hold positions overnight?

Overnight NRML positions are allowed only where your plan permits them. Overnight positions carry gap risk, and because loss limits are measured on equity, a gap against you at the next open counts in full against your floors.

What is the maximum lot size I can trade?

Lot limits per account size are listed on the rules page. Contract sizes follow the current exchange lot size for each instrument. If an order is larger than your account allows, it is simply rejected with a reason. That is not a breach and does not affect the account.

Is there a margin limit?

Yes. You can use up to 80% of your available margin. Orders that would take you beyond that are rejected with a reason shown on screen. A rejected order is never counted as a rule breach.

07 · 8 QUESTIONSPayouts and KYC

How often can I request a payout?

Every 14 days on funded accounts, and weekly on ₹10L and larger accounts. Instant accounts also need at least seven profitable days in the payout cycle. You request the payout from your dashboard once the cycle requirements are met.

How long does a payout take?

Each request is reviewed within 24 hours against the published rules. Once approved, the payout is sent the same day by UPI or bank transfer through IMPS or NEFT. The UTR number is shared on your dashboard and on WhatsApp so you can trace it with your bank.

What is the profit split?

On 2-Step and 1-Step funded accounts, you start at 80% of simulated profit, rising to 90% through scaling. On Instant accounts the split starts at 70% and rises to 80%. For example, ₹50,000 of eligible profit at 80% means a payout of ₹40,000.

Where does the payout money come from?

Payouts are paid from Greenwick's own funds, calculated on your simulated performance and your profit split. Your account itself runs on simulated capital with live market prices, so payouts are rewards for that performance rather than returns on invested money.

What KYC do I need?

KYC is done once, before your first payout. You need your PAN, Aadhaar verified through DigiLocker, and a bank account in your own name. Payouts go only to that account, so make sure the name matches your PAN.

Do I need KYC before buying a challenge?

No. KYC is needed only once, before your first payout. You can buy and trade an evaluation without it. Completing KYC early, though, means nothing slows down your first payout request when the time comes.

Are payouts taxable?

Payouts may be taxable income in your hands. Greenwick cannot give tax advice, and your situation depends on your overall income and how it is classified. Please consult a chartered accountant about how to report payouts and what records to keep.

Why might part of my profit not count for payout?

Profit can be excluded or a payout delayed by payout-only rules: trades opened in a news window, new option positions opened in the last 30 minutes of expiry day, or a best day above the consistency cap. None of these closes the account. Your dashboard shows eligible profit separately.

08 · 6 QUESTIONSScaling

How does scaling work?

Every four months, if you have taken at least two payouts and made at least 10% net profit in that period, your account grows by 25% and your profit split rises by 5 percentage points, up to your plan's maximum. Scaling rewards steady, repeatable trading rather than one big month.

Can you show a scaling example?

A ₹10L account at 80% split can scale to ₹12.5L at 85%, then ₹15.6L at 90%, then ₹19.5L and ₹24.4L. The split stops rising at 90% because that is the 2-Step and 1-Step maximum, while the account size keeps growing with each qualifying review.

What is the maximum profit split?

90% on 2-Step and 1-Step funded accounts, starting from 80%. On Instant accounts the maximum is 80%, starting from 70%. Each scaling step adds 5 percentage points until the plan maximum is reached.

What counts towards the 10% net profit for scaling?

Net profit over the four-month review period, after losing days are taken into account, must be at least 10% of the account size. On a ₹10L account that is ₹1,00,000 of net simulated profit, alongside at least two payouts in the period.

What if I do not qualify for scaling?

Nothing is lost. Your account continues at its current size and split, with the same rules. Scaling is reviewed every four months, so a slower period only means you remain at your current level until the conditions are met.

Do Instant accounts scale too?

Yes, the same scaling conditions apply: every four months, at least two payouts and at least 10% net profit. The account grows by 25% and the split rises by 5 percentage points, up to the Instant maximum of 80%.

09 · 7 QUESTIONSAccount and support

Can Greenwick change the rules after I buy?

Rule changes apply only to accounts bought after the change. The rules in force when you buy are the rules your account keeps for its whole life. As we put it: the rules you buy are the rules you keep. The current rulebook is always published on the rules page.

Can I have more than one Greenwick account?

Hedging across Greenwick accounts and one person running several accounts are both hard rules that close the accounts involved. Read the rules page carefully before buying more than one account, and never take opposite positions across accounts.

Can I use a bot, algo or copy-trading?

Not without written approval. Copy-trading and bots used without written approval are one of the five hard rules and close the account. If you want to use an algorithmic strategy, ask for approval first and keep the confirmation.

Can someone else trade my account?

Your account is meant to be traded by you. KYC and payouts are tied to your PAN and your own bank account, and copy-trading without approval is a hard breach. Letting another person trade it on your behalf undermines the evaluation and puts the account at risk.

What is platform abuse?

Platform abuse means exploiting price errors, stale quotes or delays in the simulation to book profit that could not be achieved in the real market. It is one of the five hard rules and closes the account. Normal trading on live prices is never treated as abuse.

Where can I read the full rulebook?

The complete rulebook is published on the rules page, including every hard rule, every payout rule, lot limits per account size and the news event policy. Your dashboard shows the live numbers for your own account, such as today's floors and eligible profit.

How do I contact support?

Use the support options on greenwickfunded.com and in your dashboard. Payout updates, including your UTR number, are also shared on WhatsApp. When you write in, include your account ID and a screenshot so the team can help quickly.
